And only three hours later -- Voila! A variation (because I am unable to make caramel, so I made strawberry juice caramel instead) on Jamie Oliver's Kinda Portuguese Custard Tart.
Here's the weird part -- they are delicious. Like really friggin' delicious.
I know this doesn't sound like a big deal, you know, following a recipe, but... for those of you that know me... this is kind of a big deal. Daytime TV here I come!

Wow. I didn't think you would actually do it. So...yes. I'm pretty impressed.
However...
1. Mine are prettier.
2. Instead of using a Jamie Oliver recipe, I used my imagination.
So...I don't know. Unfortunately we live in different time zones so we can't actually have a taste test to see who wins.
Also I would like to see the spiral crust thingy that you were talking about.
And I have posted my cupcakes.
