crazy schemes 2009

There are a variety of crazy schemes I conceived in 2009 that I haven't actually had time to do. It seems like I should probably try and birth them all before the start of 2010 (one month less a day from today). But that's actually a crazy scheme in itself and doesn't actually solve any problems.

1. SCTV Meets This American Life Podcast. For about a month I was completely obsessed with the idea of making a Torontonian's This American Life. Why is this a crazy scheme? Because I assume it will immediately be picked up by the CBC.

2. The Moustache Shoppe. I want to open a Moustache Shoppe at 100 Ossington, to sell Accoutrements for the Modern Gentleperson. Will I actually open up a retail operation? No. The goal is to make a really great sign that says "Moustache Shoppe: Opening Soon!" and then have that put up by BlogTo under new businesses, and then never open, but continue to work behind the sign with a locked door and giggle.

3. Soda Fountain. Why can't I get a proper cucumber soda in this town! Alternatively, or possibly concurrently with the Moustache Shoppe, I want to open a Soda Fountain with the best sodas in the world.

4. Canadian Independent Play Trust. This is an amazing thing that I invented which if I had five minutes of time I would get funding and make.

5. Record a Concept Album, Make Millions of Dollars. Some people I know should record a concept album so that I may take all the credit for being Official Album Project Manager.

Tanya!

I came to see you and you weren't there. I brought the kids to see Hamlet and they told me you were sick.

I hope you are feeling better.

Noooooo! But I was actually sick. I went to the doctor and everything.

Did you like the play?!!?

Meanwhile, tomorrow there is going to be a snowstorm and I don't even know how everyone is going to get to Hamlet on time.
