What I'm doing right now:
- putting the This American Life that I saved up for the event on my iPod
- being mad at Apple because I have four iPods spread out in front of me and I'm not 100% sure that any of them will be up to the event of actually playing This American Life into my ears tomorrow
- collecting my running shoes and gear
- getting my dress ready for the hotel bar at the Metropolitan (also finding a bathing suit for the pool)
- deciding what kind of snacks to eat while watching Prefontaine and Glee
For your entertainment:
The opening scene of Chariots of Fire, I movie I love so much that I once actually performed a skating solo in shorts and a t-shirt and a race number to this song.

T: I love that movie. I've watched that movie ten times.
O: It's not really an inspirational running movie, though. What is it even about?
T: What do you mean? It's about England's Olympic team and their adventures.
O: No, it's about a protestant and a jew, and they're running to... overcome prejudice.
T: I don't remember that part of the movie. He was running for god, but I don't think he was jewish.
O: Sigh.
