2. Coffee. Every hour for every day is a search for coffee. Wake up in the morning, make coffee. Sit at your desk, drinking coffee. Put on your boots to go outside for more coffee. More. Coffee.
3. Watch TV. Even if you don't have TV. Sit in your apartment with two roommates and each watch a different show on your computer. Watch shows that you have already watched through three times. Memorize them.
4. It's cold. Even though it's not as cold as it was when you were little in Waterloo, when it was -30, it's still -14, and that's cold. Complain about it when you walk outside for coffee.
5. Walk through falling snowflakes in Withrow Park and Riverdale Park.
6. Hot buttered tequila.
Toronto Summer, in List Form
1. The Health Nut smoothie at Papaya Hut
2. Smiling at people on the street (this would never happen in the winter.)
3. Not going to work before 10:30am. It's not that I don't work 10 hour days. It's that the 10 hour days happen at more civilized hours.
4. Iced cappucinos served as snootily as possible. The tastiness of the iced cappucino is tied exponentially to the snootiness of the barista. Especially if he's cute.
5. Trying to find respite from festivals. If there was a festival called "Quiet Street Festival," which involved everybody being polite and absolutely no selling of junk on the street, and maybe I could go sit in a cafe and read a book quietly and look at some trees, well that would be the best street festival ever.
